This is for my son's laptop and all started because it would crash on him when he used a particular mode, I cant remember which.
Anyway this is what happened.
I was trying to fix my sons laptop and I messed up the User folder so I ended up restoring the folder by rightclicking on it and restore the folder.
All seemed good and back to normal except one thing. His minecraft game doesn't work - it won't open. I download the file and tried to re-install it. I get the message the publisher hasn't been verified do I still want to open the file. I click yes and the mouse starts to turn in the windows circle like its executing. A few seconds later it stops and nothing.
I tried reinstalling Java and doing a restore from two weeks ago and still nothing. I need help.
I also ran CCleaner to clean the restristy. It is probably some setting but I have no idea. Thanks
I unistalled all versions of Java and rebooted. I cleaned the register and then reinstalled and it finally worked.
Of course I still have the original problem of it crashing in one world. I deleted it and I will tell my son to start from scratch as the file must be curropt.
