I know, I know. This has been posted about thousands of times before. The last time I had this issue, it was a huuuuuge long drawn out process of actually getting it to work, then i had to reload my computer. I completely forgot how I figured it out last time (at least a year ago) and decided to enlist the forum's help. Hopefully it's a hell of a lot speedier. Thanks!

This may or may not work, or doesn't exist at all. But it's worth a try. Go to your desktop, right click and select screen resolution. Click on advanced settings then go to the troubleshoot tab. Click on change settings if it exists, or find something similar to "Hardware acceleration". If you do see it, turn it down to at least half, of below half, or turn it off altogether. Try launching Minecraft then.

If the option is greyed out, try running Minecraft in compatability mode, right click on the launcher, select Compatibility then try running it as Windows XP, try both of the options.

If that doesn't work, try updating your drivers.

Thanks for the response! The first option is greyed out, and I saw nothing really similar to what you had suggested, anyhow. The second option did not work. I was reaaaally rooting for it, too! I'd never heard that before.

Unfortunately, my drivers are all up to date. Per the Toshiba and Intel downloads sites.
