Anyhow, I just got a new laptop (MSI GE60 0ND 257) and I was super excited to play minecraft on my new gaming laptop. I didn't think windows 8 was an issue anymore with Minecraft, so I downloaded it and started to play; however, I noticed something odd. I couldn't walk and move my camera at the same time. The camera would be fixed and I couldn't rotate to look left or right to move my direction while walking.
I thought maybe this was an issue with the windows 8 gestures that I hated anyway. I disabled the gestures and the problem still persists.
I tried deleteing all my mods, and I even forced update to a clean .jar. I've tried deleting and making several new worlds and it's all the same.
I know it's not my trackpad getting stuck because it's perfectly responsive everywhere else and when I'm not moving in Minecraft. I played Minecraft last night on my old laptop and I didn't have this issue. I was wondering if anyone had any clue on how to fix this issue or if they've experienced the same thing. I really don't want to have to install windows 7 because I lost my activation key and I don't think I can use a 32-bit operating system with this laptop and that's all I have is win7 32 bit.
Thanks for reading and I hope you know the solution.
P.S
I tried googling this already without any luck. So if you're just going to say google it, please GTFO.
I fixed it! It turns out that my trackpad had a hidden setting called "touch pad rejection" that I had to go into the registry editor to enable me to see it.
Thank you so much! You got me on the right track by looking into my track pad's setting. I just wasn't used to the track pad being disabled while I was typing because that's never been an issue on my other laptop that was the same brand as this one (MSI).
Now I can enjoy Minecraft again!
