Hello there, i am a professional dealing with lag.
Here are some solutions and causes from and to your Minecraft.
1. Make sure you ONLY have minecraft open. Having other programs open (like a web browser) will cause lagg to those older PC's.
2. Install OptiFine. It's a very good solution. It is known to double the FPS you have now.
3. Get a better computer. If this stuff happens it means your computer is not good for Minecraft. Tell me, what computer do you use?
4. This could happen because of other mods. Do you have mods and if you do, what mods?
5. Don't use TNT or much fire. That could even make the faster computers lag.
6. Don't spawn a lot of mobs or items or animals. It could cause lag too.
7. Open your computer and see if the ventilator isn't full of dust. If so, remove it. (the dust, not the ven.)
