I tried but it just has a globe sign on it and f2 and f3 is brightness it wont work

If that doesn't work, try Fn and F5.

I just had that problem! You need to do ctrl and one of the F(s) (ex f5, etc.)

I had the same problem but with a toshiba laptop, and FN worked
