Hey guys, Az here. Alright, so it's been a bug I'm sure more than one person has heard of, where you would be minding your own business and walking around, but if you clicked while walking, you'd keep walking that way even if you let go of your directional buttons! Anyway, after researching, it seems to be a problem with LWJGL. Supposedly, updating this to the most recent (2.8.5 if I recall), should be the fix. Well, after following the instructions twice actually, the "fix" has given me another problem. Though it is true, I don't keep moving in the same direction after I click anymore, now, if I click while moving, I completely stop! I'll be doing a block-run in creative, but on the first click, my character just stops. Worse, rather than only happening occasionally, it happens every single time. If someone could help me with it, that'd be great.
the issue is present in the newest version of LWJGL (I tried updating to it and sure enough, it was present), IIRC it's not a problem in 2.8.4 (pretty much any update fixes the stuck input problem)
other option, as was stated before in this thread, optifine has an option called "Smooth Input" this causes a (unnoticable) delay in the button press timing, making it much more unlikely the timing would line up in such a way the movement key would remain depressed.
