Never mind. I haven't the slightest idea why, but they aren't following me anymore suddenly. o__o I think it might be because I logged in for the first time in a couple weeks, although I thought for sure I tried going online a few days ago. Huh. Well, no more offline for me I guess lol.
I'm so freaking happy right now. <3
I've actually asked this here before about a week ago, but nobody could help me and I figured it'd be better to re-word it a bit differently rather than to bump the old topic. I even used colored font to point out key things for people who don't feel like reading an essay of a post, lol.
So here's what happens: If I go to a place that has wolves or ocelots around, they will suddenly spawn beside me and follow me around. They'll even teleport to me if I get too far.
They don't do anything else that tamed wolves and ocelots do. In fact, if I hit a wolf, all the wolves will murder me and then they will all respawn with me after I die still growling (but not aggressive). You know how intimidating it is to have 15+ wolves following me and constantly growling with that evil face they make? xD Not to mention all the times I accidentally hit one when trying to mine or something.
The ocelots will also constantly try to avoid me, despite teleporting to me if they get too far.
The wolves wont help me kill anything, but they aren't shy about murdering every single sheep we pass by. There goes any hope of having a sheep farm. :c They wont sit for me either.
So here's what I've tried:
- Made new worlds countless times
- Deleted all my mods
- Force updated numerous times
- Deleted the .Minecraft folder and then re-installed from the website numerous times
- I even tried installing the game from a different website! I thought maybe the main website's download was just glitched
- Updated Java (32 bit)
- Played offline and online
I have Minecraft version 1.4.7 (not a snapshot) and Java 7 Update 11
Please help if you can. This is driving me crazy, I can't even really enjoy the game anymore when I have some huge pack of animals following me.
Stay away from taiga/jungles? Also, see if the Nether changes anything.
But I like taiga and forests (wolves spawn in both). I'd really hate to have to completely avoid them, especially the forest biome. :c That's my most favorite biome.
Not to mention that I almost always spawn in taiga biomes in new worlds for some reason, lol.
Alright, I made a creative game and spawned a few wolves. When I entered the nether portal, they all followed me into it. xD Persistent vermin, aren't they?
Edit:
Also, I can't go anywhere near a forest or taiga biome without 10 wolves suddenly spawning by me. I don't have to necessarily wander in for them to be attracted to me. I was actually in the plains biome earlier today, at least 20 blocks away from forest and I suddenly had a rather large group of wolves on my tail.
And the number that spawns by me in such a small amount of time by being in or around the biome is so awful that it can crash my game. So I can't really explore my world.

Is there ANYTHING else I can try?

That's why it's such a dire situation for me.
Oh I forgot to mention that making new worlds doesn't work either. n__n
Bleh, can't give you rep. But thank you for trying. c:
