When I updated to 1.4.7. my singleplayer saves no longer appear in minecraft, but they are still in my '.minecraft > saves' folder. I don't know how to get them back into the game where I'm able to select them & play them. Super annoying.
Has anyone else had this problem? I could really use some help

Hi Krow17,
I can give you some pointers to try.. I do have to check though, have you made backups? If you haven't made backups yet, make them now! I can really recommend downloading the free version of MineBack and making backups (or doing it manually if you prefer).
One tip (I noticed when im developing MineBack) is that; If something holds a file lock on a world save then MineCraft won't list the world. So check to see if your anti-virus or maybe another backup tool is not preventing MineCraft accessing your world files. The best way to go about this is to close all programs except for MineCraft and test it (and in the case of the anti-virus, adding the MineCraft worlds folder to the exclusion list).
Another suggestion I have is to open the MineCraft bin folder %appdata%\.minecraft\bin (you paste the bolded part into a Windows Explorer address bar and press enter). There, rename the minecraft.jar to minecraft.old and then re-run the game client and let it download a fresh one. See if this helps.
If you already have backups (yay) then I would suggest backing up your current set of world saves and restoring a backup and seeing if that fixed your issue (as the first thing to try).
If you stil have no luck there . You might try locating a MineCraft game repair tool. There is one written in Python out there, but I haven't needed anything like that since early beta so I don't know its still relevent post Anvil and I couldn't give you a download for one.
