Okay, so today I got a new 13in MacBook Pro Laptop. After installing Minecraft correctly and opening it, I encountered a problem. Once the world is opened I am able to walk 6 to 7 blocks before my WASD, E, and all other keys except space and Esc stop working. I can no longer walk or open my inventory. When I press space it is a delayed jump and I have to hold down Esc for the menu to open. It is only an issue with Minecraft because in my other games and just normally on the computer my keyboard works fine. I have reinstalled Minecraft several times, ran my software update several times, restarted the computer and done my own research to find a solution but have been unable to find one.
Recap:
WASD, E, Q, etc. keys stop working after several seconds in the game
Space for jumping is delayed
In order to open my ESC window I have to hold the button down
What I have tried:
Reinstalling Minecraft
Restarting my computer
Manually installing Java
Running Software Update several times
Changing Key Configs
I am willing to try anything, please help me!
I am running OS X Version 10.8.2
Processor 2.9 GHz Intel Core I7
Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

I did both the auto updater and through the tutorial and it did not work:/?

So I have discovered once in the world it disables the letters, numbers, space bar, and punctuation keys but nothing else. Any other ideas on how to fix this.
