I get the error message in the title whenever I try: /gamerule keepinventory true (and without the true)
I just play single player survival, and if I type just '/gamerule' without the apostrophes, it'll show 'keepinventory' in the list of available commands.
I don't have any mods aside from Optifine at the moment. I also tried a fresh jar and made sure to clear my config folder.
My Minecraft version is 1.4.7
Thanks in advance for any help. c:

My posts will always have typos and that fact will always drive me crazy.
What I find is that when you type 'keepInventory' (with a capital I) it works. But you must type the 'true' as well. Also, you could always use NBTedit to just manually change it if it doesn't work.
Does this command apply to everyone or just the person entering the command? The reason I ask is that I, being the only OP on my server, would like to apply this to certain people at certain times.
Also, if I were to apply this command to a Command Block, how/where does the @p get entered? (if you can)
I'm fairly certain the gamerule commands are global, as in they effect everyone or the whole world. However I can't say that I've ever tried using a command block and @p to see if it could be applied to just a specific individual. I'm betting you would get a syntax error.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
