I installed Minecraft yesterday. Upon loading up the game I cannot move and my character just bounces in place. A quick google search revealed the issue is simply resolved by destroying the block underneath of your character- my only issue here being I cannot dig at all. I just whack away at the ground with no result.

Hmm, had this happening twice only when the seed put me in a snow covered world.
Hitting the block straight down did work though, but it took some time.

IF you're new to the game you may not realize that you have to hold down left mouse button to break blocks. Repeatedly clicking the button does not work.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
