I tried optifine not working
My father will kill me if I simply wasted 40 bucks for nothing
If there is any solution tell me and if u recover to win 7 will all my files stay?
Sorry to say but thats your problem right there. And I doubt Mojang has any real intention of trying to optimize Minecraft for windows 8.
Microsoft messed this one up on their own so yah, basiclly you did waste your money. Not sure what on earth made you think it was a good idea to pick up windows 8 anyways, but that's really neither here nor there.
One final comment. I said this to my friend about a month ago when we were discussing windows 8 and I really think it encapsulates everything that needs to be said about when it comes to gaming, so to quote myself: "Windows 8: The best thing to happen for gaming on Linux."
Anyways, sorry about your fps. But looks like you may be stuck.

Humanity is the creation of Logic and Emotion, Calculation and Imagination, Cold Analysis and Blind Faith. This is why I believe it is a strange Human that would prize one while shunning the other. For a calculator can do math just as well as you, but a calculator can not use math to make the world a better place.
You have 2 different graphics cards, make sure that java and minecraft are set to use the radeon card (high performance).
It'll be an option in the AMD vision center.
Your computer tried to conserve power by switching to the integrated graphics for programs it thinks doesn't need to use the dedicated card.
They think java is one of those programs that can be throttled.
BTW, windows 8 is just fine if you have a AMD or Nvidia graphics card, both companies have put out windows 8 graphics drivers for most graphics lines.
Intel on the other hand isn't putting out win 8 drivers for anything but their most recent card/chips.
So most of the people who complain about win 8 are using older Intel graphics that aren't being supported by intel.

There can be many reasons for your problem, but one possible solution is to stop the desktop using your GPU at the same time. I found this thread with the details.
On some platforms Aero can reduce performance for games. However, Windows is usually quite smart at automatically disabling Aero for us so it may be another cause. Latest GPU drivers are an absolute must.
I am unsure about the performance of OpenGL on Windows 8 (I haven't run any comparisons, so everything here after is speculative based on past experience). I do know though that Microsoft are pushing their own DirectX platform and this has meant historically that OpenGL support has been reduced with each platform release and left there rather reluctantly (they tried to get rid of it at one point I recall, Microsoft stopped providing their own drivers for it and it only came if implemented by the GPU manufacturer, though alot has happened since and it is still there).
Best of luck!

Download the latest drivers from AMD's website.

Retired StaffI'm guessing you have a laptop.
Try running this tool: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonmob_win7-64.aspx
If that doesn't work, you may need to get drivers from the laptop manufacturer.
If you have a desktop just plug your card info into the form here:
