You didn't mention if your Win 7 is 32 bit or 64 bit, but in order to use more then 1.5G of memory Your OS and java both need to be 64 bit.
I'll also say that there is no reason to give Vanilla minecraft more then the default memory.

Download the Driver verification tool and run it.
It will tell you if you can use AMD drivers, and if there is a newer version it should prompt you to download them. http://support.amd.c...ob_win7-32.aspx
Then you need to go to the HP site and find the drivers there.
I'm not going to be able to help you search that site as there are so many different version of the HP laptops, that you'll need to take the numbers off the laptop and plug them into the site to get the correct drivers.

It might also be worth double-checking if you are running 32-bit or 64-bit.
I would not expect anyone to be selling a laptop with 6GB RAM and 32-bit Windows, as anything over ~4GB is useless. If the manufacturer fitted the 6GB it should have a 64-bit Windows install.
You can check from Start -> right-click Computer -> Properties -> System Type.
Can i upgrade my Windows to 64-bit?sorry for a weird questionGuys my AMD always error before.but, when i tried play using shader with fancy graphic.the error is not appear anymore, and not lag.

recently i give more usable memory for my windows 32-bit to 4 GB with PAE,but i still cannot use 4GB Minecraft Launcher.is that because my windows is 32-bit?
You may have 6G, but any one program can't use more than 2G. Since Minecraft's memory is divided between the heap and other things, the heap is limited to around 1.5G before it will fail to launch due to the process size exceeding the 2G limit.

Make sure your Radeon drivers are up to date.
Download the latest drivers from the AMD site. http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx

Retired StaffIn simple terms, Minecraft on a 32bit system can only use up to 1.5gb of ram allocation. Anymore after that will give you an error.
