So I made a slime farm of sorts (down on layer 9, deep) and put torches all around the wall to keep other mobs from spawning. Now the problem isn't that the mobs are spawning, thats ok. The problem is that if i dont stand in the corner, the light forms a small circle around me, and the torches seem to not work. I made a youtube video to show what I mean by this, so any help is appreciated.
It's called void fog. The deeper you get down toward bedrock the denser the fog gets. One way to eliminate the fog is by making shafts to the surface that let sunlight in. One shaft can remove the fog in an area something like 10ish blocks around.
