I've been having some serious lag issues that makes the game unplayable for me. Whenever I turn to look at a new chunk, or move into one, I freeze up for a very short period of time. It's really short, but because it happens with every chunk, it is extremely annoying. I've deleted and re-installed minecraft via the .minecraft folder in Appdata, but that doesn't fix anything, so I assume it has to do with my system: Here are my specs. . .
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2100 CPU @ 3.10GHz RAM: 4.00 GB Graphics Card: Intel HD Graphics (1920 x 1080)
Firstly, this is not lag, this is a low fps (Frames Per Second)
There are hundreds of posts and fixes for this. All you have to do is google it.
I can recommend that you make sure you have 64 bit java, and that you install OptiFine
