I just reccently decided to come back to minecraft after a long hiatus and a system restore wipe. And I am having some issues getting minecraft to boot to main menu for me after the login screen.
i attempted to use "advanced error tester" by fried zombie but it seems to hit a dead end at the same point my minecraft does. I have updated my sound driver and checked for a video driver update(windows said it could not find any) and installed java to the lastest usable verstion. but still i seem to be stuck at the same point.
anyone have some suggestions for me?
ok so here is what i have.

i think 32 (i am not nearly as tech savy as i would like to be) However after coming back to this with fresh eyes i have solved the issue, Seems i had numerous things i needed to reinstall/update including microsoft net. framework, downloading ati's control center, and all the later patches. So this issue has been resolved I leave those details for people who may have the same issue. thank you for the attentivness and willingness to help.
