Ever since I got my new MacBook Pro I have had problems with seeing colored text on signs. I know that putting colored text on signs is usually done on a server with plugins. I own my own server and use colors on my signs all the time. On my old MacBook, I had no problem with this.
I also know that other people with the Intel Graphics 3000 card are having this problem. I have an Intel Graphics 4000 card and think it is most likely caused by the same problem.
I just wanted to know if anyone knew why this happens or any way to fix it. It is really bugging me and I would love a way to fix it.
I am not fully understanding what you mean by driver. Do you mean a video driver. If thats the case, then to my knowledge, it does not do it automatically
I have the same problem. Its been annoying me since i got my macbook pro. My friend has the 15inch and he can see the signs perfectly, but i cant see them on my 13 inch
You see, it's not the drive or anything. It's the size of your screen. I have the same problem and I have an 11 in. Macbook Air. The screen is too small for those graphics. It only works on 15 in+ screens for Mac. I hope this has helped.
Did anybody find a fix for this? This is the top thread for a google search for this problem so don't go off on one about resorecting an old thread, that just stupid.
This is a problem on macbooks and needs fixing.

I really hope you're kidding. The screen size has nothing to do with good or bad graphics. The drivers in the 15 inch MacBook Pro actually has better drivers according to the Apple website where it shows its specs. So the problem is probably caused by the drivers in MacBook Pros with screen sizes smaller than 15" and i'm assuming it's the same with the entire line of MacBook Airs, because the screen sizes only go up to 13", and, well they're meant to be the more lightweight laptops. I also have a 13" inch MacBook Pro so i'm also getting this problem. I hope this has helped.
I have a MacBook Pro 2012 with the something soemthing 4000 graphic card. cant see the colors on OSX but, I can on Windows 7. I've installed Windows on my mac along with the normal OSX. so I dont really think it should be my grapichcrads fault. I think it has something to do with OSX and something apple did with the newest updates. since you said that you could see it on your old MacBook.
I have once installed a shaders pack and the problem went away but I don't want to always do that some person should fix this i can see the colours but only from an angle
