So, I'm trying to get Minecraft working on a Mac, the game just exploded a couple weeks ago, and hasn't worked since.
Alright, details. It's an unmodded client (it's been broken since 1.4.6), and it crashes on world load; SSP, SMP, doesn't matter. Tried several saves, and tried generating several new worlds, everything crashes on world load.
Tried all the troubleshooting steps listed in the [Mac Support 101 Post], including updating the OS with the latest combo pack, deleting/reinstalling Minecraft several times, deleting/reinstalling Java, and resetting the PRAM.
The crash report has yet to give anything different.
Here's the crash report that has been consistently been generated for about two weeks:

So here's what i would do, based on what i'm reading.
Reinstall Minecraft.
Description: Unexpected error
java.lang.IllegalAccessError: tried to access class bas from class bar
Update Java.
Operating System: Mac OS X (x86_64) version 10.7.5
Java Version: 1.6.0_37, Apple Inc.
Java VM Version: Java HotSpotâ„¢ 64-Bit Server VM (mixed mode), Apple Inc.
Okay, so here's what my sis did (It's her Mac we're trying to get MC running on again):
1. Uninstalled Minecraft and Java, then reinstalled both - No change
2. Installed the latest version of Java 7 (I know that's a moot point, but what the heck) - No change.
3. Uninstalled Java 6, then reinstalled it using the OS X Terminal (Seeing as how this version of OS X has a propriteary version of Java built-in) - Success!
I have no idea how or why the sudden crash, and why this stupid idea fixed it, but hey I love it when a stupid idea works!
