Ok first off I will say this has been happening for several versions and still happening, What happens is that after a server restart and sometimes when the chunk is unloaded\reloaded then the animals positions have changed, if they are in a pit then some will be found dead from suffocating in the walls and fenced in cages with no way out will have the animals wandering just outside of them(even when the fence goes up to the roof and there is no fence gate)
I was wandering if anyone else has this problem or knows how to fix it, it kind of makes breeding difficult as I cant keep them in one place.
Another problem is that no lan games show up and my lan games don't show on any other computer in the house, we can connect to it fine just its annoying having to direct connect with a new port each time. I use port forwarding and the firewalls are allowing java on all computers both incoming and outgoing(even disabling the firewall temporarily) so I don't know what else could be the problem.
Thanks for any help, these have been bugging me for a long time =\

Hi there!
Congrats on your 100th post by the way =)
The LAN issue won't affect your router's firewall, because the firewall is for outside traffic coming in, as well as the port forwarding/port opening. The issue seems to be with minecraft, and I'm sure Mojang is trying their best to fix it as fast as possible. In the mean time, i've heard that downgrading seems to help, so optionally, you can downgrade using MCNostalgia, which is a completely legal way of downgrading.
As for the animal issue, i'm not sure about that. I know that sometimes they appear to be walking out and then teleport back, but that doesn't sound like the same issue.
