i just had an odd experiance similar to this. i was looking through an empty chest and suddenly music discs started to just appear inside it. When I took them out and went to put them back into my chest specifically for music discs they would dispensary seconds after putting them in. i tried to put in other things and the same thing happened. things just keep disapearing right in front of my eyes
I'm sorry to tell you that rolling back deletes your inventory and all chests/furnaces/horses with armor within roughly 500 blocks. I lost everything in two worlds b/c I thought it was a bug in one world.
So I basically lost all my emerald, diamonds, gold, iron, enchanted diamond sword, redstone and pick axes. ARE YOU KIDDING ME UGHHH ALL OF THAT WORK FOR NOTHIN.
I loged on and look in a cheast with a bunch of my stuff in it and it was mystiresly gone I started a new world that I'm on now and I hope it diesnt happen again or ill be so mad! Oh and it dident effect my ender cheast if any one knows why this is happening please tell me
Right click on you .minecraft folder and find "restore previous versions" down the list. You can get back what you lost to your last Windows auto-save... I did, lost the 70 odd diamonds and 50 gold I'd dug up the few hours before, but got all my (30 or so) chests full of EVERYTHING else back and my enchanted tools. That is if your minecraft folder is on the "restore" list, even though it wouldn't normally restore if you did a "normal" restore... if you get my drift. Try it That's the last time I try installing a mod before saving everything in a separate file.
