hi i have a AsusTek. latop With Core i5 and 8Gb of ram i run a 64bit systeme and i'm having 12 fps witch before school starts i had over 60 and did not have optifine and was able to record at far render without any lags but now i have optifine i just restarted my pc and every thing but my fps starts at 70 and keeps getting lower and lower each secounds untill it hits 12 fps i know im not the only one but i realy need help with this and i have NO virus i had a programmer check it 2 times!

Check your task manager to see if there is multiple java processes running, or if something is using a lot of cpu.
Make sure you have tried to reinstall minecraft and java.

I'm having a similiar problem. Minecraft is getting only 0-1 frames per second only on multiplayer. I have good specifications, and my CPU usuage is only 30%. Nothing lags but Minecraft right now.
Never mind... I turned the graphics down for a second then maxed them out again. It wokrs like a charm now.
