Greetings and salutations my friends, today i am posting a BIG question of mine that i have been actively trying to fix for a few weeks, but to no avail…
This is the error I have, very common I’m assuming…
.
Bad video card drivers!
-----------------------
Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

BASICALY put, minecraft has altogether crapped out on me. And I have many reasons on why this may have occurred
1: My laptops ‘ghosting’ (if you aren’t aware of what it is, it wipes the laptop and reinstalls barebones windows.) perhaps a few of the drivers or programs didn’t get installed or installed right. With the reinstallation process of everything, including drivers, java, and anything and everything that has to do with minecraft, I’m not certain it’s that.
2: Hardware and software becoming ‘outdated’, for mine craft, which I seriously doubt, since I played the game on much worse off computers than mine. However, i’m not entirely sure if minecraft has undergone updates that have made it impossible to load on my laptop. I really don’t see how that could happen anyway because even I could play oblivion on my laptop, (of course at a very low pixels and laggy pace) but it still loaded.
3: Updates not working? With a .minecraft 1.2.5 file copy I got from a friend, it works perfectly fine. The second I update, it doesn’t. My guess is that there is a thing added into the updates that makes my laptop have a brainfart.
4: the gods hate me. So far this is likely, since all that has kept me from tearing my hair out has been typing in search bars and in forums about how to fix something like this.
WELL, that is what my thoughts are on this ordeal. Sorry if I have posted in the wrong forum, and PLEASE if you have any information that could help out, it would be greatly appreciated.

as an explaination of my fury, i have watched this video, and i still have no progress, and it's the best video (that i have found) on the subject, since it covered everything i could do... other than buy a whole new laptop WHICH is expensive.

(just being careful, can't post something without getting attacked by copyright legalities.)
Run this error tester and post the log here. It will likely stop with the same error when it does the test launch, but it gives a bit more info about your hardware and drivers.
[edit]
You also might try the following:
Right click your desktop & select properties> Select 'Settings' Tab > Advanced > Troubleshoot
The hardware acceleration should be on full, try turning it down to about half and try running minecraft.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
