This Tuesday I made a map on my lan server so i can see my brother.First he didn't show on the map so I copied the map and gave it to him.Then he showed up in white.I taught he will show in an other colour, but it wasn't such a big problem.Wednesday, 3 more friends joined.They were all in white.And then I made an item frame with a map in it. Then on my map, the item frame showed in green ( although the item frame is not a player) So now on the map there were 5 white spots and one green spot (the item frame) Weird?! How do I fix this?

I found a bug similar to mine

When you make a map, you can see yourself as a white spot traveling around
When you copy your map to your friends ,you can see them on the map,in different colors of the spot(red green ,blue)
But on my map I can see two white spots(me and my brother)
And one green spot ( the item frame)
So help?!

Does it have to do something whit settings?

Have you restarted the server at all? Many people who report issues with maps find that closing down minecraft and restarting it makes the map render normally again.

OK I will try that.But restarting minecraft did not help.

And at the top of the map, when I go beyond the edge of the map, my position appear, but it is clearly hidden behind the map.


I restart my minecraft client, but the problem is still here.

What you circled is the direction you are from the map that you are viewing. That is normal. (Unless I misunderstand what you're saying)

The screenshot gwido posted is same as mine.But on my map there are 5 white spots. I cannot know who is who.And+ the item frames as a white spot
