hey guys!
every time i log in to mine craft on my mac, i click options,
then i click force update, it says will force, but nothing happens!
pls help!!!!!
Backup your saves, delete the "bin" and "resources" folders inside the "minecraft" folder.
Then, run the minecraft icon and it should re-download everything.
Just keep in mind, though, that by doing this, I am in no way responsible for whatever happens. You are effectively deleting the entire game and re-downloading it.
So, what exactly are you trying to do here? If you're trying to update the game version, all you need to do is log in. You'll get a message once you do asking if you want to update. Force updating doesn't do anything unless you have edited the .jar file in some way. It basically just clears out the .jar file and re-downloads everything completely vanilla.
ah... ok, make sure your connected to the internet, your username and password is correct (premium as well) and don't use force update, use login. It should work fine...

i now have tried redownloading it from mineshafter.net (thats where i got it from in the 1st place, it used to update)
but it wont update, so wot do i do? (i have changed my email address if this helps!)plus i cant remember how to reinstall it
