Hi, I have this lag problem where when i look into the sky I have about 60 fps. When I look straight ahead like playing regulary I drop to around 5 in about 5 seconds. About a week ago I would always have about 60 fps. This makes my minecraft unplayable. The lag started at tekkit but I tried regular minecraft and it still lags. I have Optifine mod and I have even removed it to see if that was the problem. Here are my computer specs{ I don't think my computer is the best to begin with.}And ive also changed everything to fast and that garbage.

if it just started for you i would assume it has something to do with some new code added into minecraft. get a older .jar version and see if that does the same thing, just to see if my theory is correct.

Thanks for the help but I've tried it with tekkit and technic and there 1.2.5 and its laggy with them too. I've alos downloaded 1.3.1 and its still laggy. Thanks for the help though!

not much help less its fixed. ill try to find something else you can tryGet the newest 1.4.6 and download the best optifine your computer can handle. turn off everything you don't need

if you don't want to turn anything off, just set FPS to stable(whatever its called)

Start with a fresh install, with Optifine of course. Nothing else.

I've redownloaded minecraft and java multiple times. Is it whats my computer thats holding me back? I mean like its not good enough?

I just re installed optifine and minecraft and it didnt make much of a difference. Is it my laptop thats holding me back?

Optifine and Magic Launcher, I think.
Also: Make sure that Minecraft's running off of your Nvidia card instead of your i5's integrated graphics.

I just went to nividia control panel and selected the nividia graphic thing instead of integrated and it fixed it! It's like 40fps know which is much better then 5. I dont know if thats what you ment but yea.

Nevermind i put optifine back on and its at 70-110 fps wow thanks dude!
