I don't know if this in only happening to me but I checked the forums and searched my problem on Google and didn't find what I was looking for, so here it is.
My sister and I we're playing a survival map together, and that day we finally made the Nether portal. When we entered, everything was fine and we we're having fun. Then out of nowhere, my Minecraft just closed. It didn't crash or show a crash report or anything, just out of the blue, close. I went back to my Minecraft copy and logged into the world and my Minecraft just closed in less than 3 seconds. But it's fine in other worlds.
The only mods that I had installed was TooManyItems and Optifine. BUT, when I forced updated (for those who don't know, it means it force updates the game, reinstalling minecraft.jar, all your mods are gone when this happens) and logged into the same world, it worked for about 10 seconds and just closed again, meaning the mods have nothing to do with it.
I only say this has to do with the Nether because on one of my other worlds, I went into the Nether and out of the blue, crash. Same with the other world. I've tried reinstalling java, deleting my bin so Minecraft would retrieve a new one, and force updating, but none of that works. Does anyone know why this is happening and/or how I could fix it? Because if not, these 2 worlds are gone for good!
There is no crash log. Minecraft just closes out of the blue when the world is openned.
Sadly, this didn't work. Any other ideas?
Look for a file named hs_err_pid####.txt (#### being a 4 digit random number) on the desktop, or what ever directory you keep the minecraft.exe file. The hs_er_pid files are java crash logs.
I searched hs_err_pid and found a bunch labeled like you said (hs_err_pid####). I found the latest one (I tried opening the worlds yesterday and it didn't work) so I think this is the crash report:

It looks like java thinks you have a 32 bit os, I have no idea why it would let you install 64 bit java on a 32 bit os or an os it thinks is 32 bit. I could be misreading it, but still think the following is the best route to go.
I think it would be best to uninstall java, then install the latest version from here: http://www.java.com/...load/manual.jsp
Select the proper 32/64 bit, based on what your OS actually is.
