It all started in the beginnings of last summer. I was happily playing minecraft when all of the sudden, my game froze and I got a black screen. Ever since then, I was getting black screens everytime after about 2 min. of playing. Sometimes, instead of black screens, I got a screen with green and black stripes, or red and black stripes.
One day, my brother unplugged charger cable so he could go play minecraft upstairs with his friends. It was a miracle! Minecraft was working. After, we went to charge the computer and the screen froze(minecraft was open). Ever since then, I've been playing minecraft without the charger cable plugged. The bad part is that the power runs out very quickly so me and my bro want to know if there's a way that we could play mc with the charger cable plugged.
Sorry if this was too long, I just wanted to make it clear. We have forced updated mc many times and re-installed it. Has this ever happened to you? Could you help us out?
If the AC power makes a difference then I'm going to suggest that you have "switchable graphics".
Two different GPUs, one that is higher performance and one that uses less power.
Your computer switches between them semi-automatically often depending upon whether or not you are running from battery.
One of these two drivers is having trouble with Minecraft. You should be able to right click on your desktop and force the GPU to be one or the other, and / or right click on minecraft.exe and specify which GPU to use.

The other day I plugged in an HDMI cable in my computer while playing minecraft and the same problem hapened. Anyway, thanks for the answer. I'm going to try to see if I can do it
