I lived on campus at my college where I was able to join any server I wanted and play without lag, etc.
I have since relocated off campus and I am now using my own router to connect to the internet. I have not changed anything on my computer, I am using the same firewall, and the same unmodified minecraft. But now I cannot connect to any servers.
I am able to play when I place my computer in a DMZ. But the DMZ is a risk and I do not consider this a long term solution. The firewall on my computer has never given me a problem with this before. I have plenty of bandwidth, 7 Mbps down, 0.9 Mbps up. I don't know what to do.
If you need more info from me, let me know. I have tried a million things and google is really sucking right now so any help is appreciated.
