So i have the "Error: Can not create Java Virtual Machine" happen when I run Minecraft. I use the .bat file method to open minecraft and get it to run. It works for a few minutes and then crashes. I have recently updated java but when I tried to update to Java 7 a bunch of problems occured so I just use the newest version of Java 6. When the game crashes I get this error report:
# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:

There is also a bunch of other codes and number but I assume they are irrelvant to my problem. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Please Help!
I don't know if this might help but it sometimes happens to me when I have to reinstall windows but did you make sure you only have one version of java? say java 6 or java 7 you can have both 32bit and 64bit versions of java if your operating system is 64 bit.
I'm running on Windows XP 32-bit and I don't believe I am running two separate versions of Java. See what had happened was I tried to update to Java 7 but when I ran Minecraft it would still use Java 6. I then figured out Java 7 didn't install properly. I attempted to uninstall all Java software on my computer but I couldn't get rid of Java 7. I then installed JavaRa to uninstall everything and that did the job. I tried to once again install Java 7 but it didn't work so I just went back to Java 6.

Delete Java 6 if you want to keep your Windows XP, and make sure you're using Java 7 32 bit.
Alright so I updated to Java 7 and got rid of Java 6 (after a long process) and now when I try to run Minecraft without the .bat file it gives the
"Error: Could not creat Java Virtual Machine
Error: A fatal exception has occured. Program will exit"
But when I use the .bat file it works like before but still crashes. The error report is a little diffrent now. Now it says:

Something about minidumps? Do you have a better clue to what it could be now?

Ah, minidumps, yes, enable them. Google how to enable them, there's a way. The problematic frame is still pointing to your PC. Are you sure that you have Java 32-bit?
I beleive so. See the reason I'm not 100% is because when you go to java.com to download java 7 it just gives two options for windows users. One bing install online and one being install offline. There is no place to select which version you want.

Not really sure which one's which. I'm kind of fresh out of ideas unless you want to find a way to enable minidumps, but other than that, I would say replace your XP with a Windows Vista or 7.
Thank you for the help I really appreciate it. Yeah, I was playing Minecraft on a Vista but then it recently died so I have to resort back to my older XP for now.

If your Vista died, then mine's a survivor, because I got it in August 2008 and now it's January 2013. Did you yet try enabling minidumps? (Sorry for being obnoxious.)
Yeah my Vista was from 2009 and just died. Yeah I found out the minidumps error is actually because of the graphics card driver (as stated on the java.com) and it insturcts you to update it. Unfortunately, mine can no longer be updated so I can't play on this computer. However, Minecraft somehow works on my computer from 1999 so I'll just use that. So if anyone else has this error and is reading this it is most likely because of graphics card driver needing to be updated. Thanks for the help though, I really appreciate it!

Just found out, you don't need to enable minidumps. But the problematic frame wasn't pointing to your drivers, they were pointing to your PC. But it's strange that your Windows 98 is working but not your Windows XP, Windows XP is newer.
I made a mistake. My computer is actaully from 2001 not 1999 but it is still older than the one that is experiencing problems. So you think its a problem with my PC? A hardware issue?
