Last night my favorite world stopped working - many thank for any suggestions!
The game was very uncharacteristically crashing as I went in and out of Nether portals - no error message, the game just froze up. I would end the process, reload the game, and things worked fine again (the game loaded with my player on the otherside of the portal). After happening two or three times, I went through another Nether portal and once again had the crash.
This time, though, each time I reload the world, the game crashes again. Instead of freezing, the game quits out without an error message. I get a very brief glipse of my world/player on the other side of the portal I moved through, but then the screen closes.
One time (and one time only) I got an error dialogue box "Jave Platform SE binary has stopped working. I did (just now!) realize that there's a text log being dropped onto my desktop each time with the error details.
I run vanilla minecraft, latest edition, on Windows 7. I was, at first, using an HD texture + mod, but I switched to default textured and did a forced update to try to fix things with no luck. I tried turning down all my graphics settings in Minecraft and then loading the world, and that didn't work. I can load other worlds just fine. In other worlds, I can go through Netherportals without any issues..
Any suggestions at all? Thanks in advance for any help!
