"sans-serif">I run a Minecraft server and haven't had issues as far a performance goes. I have probably around 10 players that play on the server a lot and about 5 more that rarely get on anymore. My problem is that there are sometimes when a player logs off the game the server turns their player dat file into a tmp. So if my player name was dhenke1690 when I went into the player folder it would say dhenke1690.dat.tmp. The problem with this is when they log back in it deletes the tmp file and basically starts them as a new player. They spawn in original spawn area and have lost all of their stuff. I regularly back up the world file so I am able to restore most of their stuff but it has been happening more often and it’s driving me insane. It seems to happen most to 2 players but they are also the players that play the most so it could just be because of that.
