I am currently running Linux Mint 13 x64, and another machine running Ubuntu 12.04 i386.
On both of these machines, even through multiple new installations of Minecraft, I have a recurring bug that is making the game virtually unplayable.
When moving, jumping, or flying the game will act as if a key (typically the last one you touched) has gotten stuck and you will end up flying an infinite amount of blocks in that direction until that key is pressed again. This in itself is annoying, but the detail that makes it infuriating is the fact that the game does this randomly and without warning.
I have tried allocating more RAM to the game to compensate for any lag that I am experiencing, with no results. I have reinstalled the game and replaced all but the saves folder at least 4 times on each machine. The video card drivers are as updated as linux gets (AMD support still sucks but the NVIDIA card in the Ubuntu machine runs nicely)
Has anyone else come across this? Are there any fixes?
