When I run Minecraft on my auxiliary monitor(crt tv) at 640X480 it locks the gui to small no matter what you set gui size to, it works fine in windowed mode and on my other monitor but when it is maximized it goes small.
Please help, if I cant fix it I am going to make a mod to because there is no reason it should do this on a 640x480 monitor.
Why would Minecraft switch to the smallest possible GUI on monitors that are small that is stupid. It is not a monitor it is a television, Why wouldn't it make the GUI larger for small resolutions?
Smaller resolution makes everything appear bigger on the screen.
If you take a 100x100 box on the 640X480 it's going to be a larger portion then on a 1280x1600 screen.
If you were able to set it to higher then small, the gui would likely not even fit on your 640X480 screen, so it limits the setting. It's probably defaulting to the 'auto' setting on the tv, auto works as a % based value, while small/large work on a set pixel width.

I understand how resolutions work, Im not stupid. The gui is so small I can't read the options. Im going to post a screenshot since no one knows what they are talking about.
As you can see there is plenty of room for the gui to be larger but minecraft wont do it.
Edit: its not on auto, its the same for every setting.
