I have a premium account that I play on regularly with no issues at all on both my laptop and on my desktop. I made an account for my gf and can log into her account fine on the minecraft.net website, however I get a login failed whenever I try to login with her information on the client. I can log into my account via the client and play and then exit and attempt to log into hers through the client and it still says login failed. This happens on both my desktop and my laptop. The only difference is my account is premium and hers is not.
I've spent hours going through different forums looking for a solution, but have been unable to find one. If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.
Depending on your launcher version, non-premium accounts will be handled differently. In the latest one, if you log in with a non-premium account, the launcher will tell you the login failed and will give you an option to Play Demo. Older ones will straight out not allow you to play.
Non-premium accounts can't play the full game (unless offline).
