Can someone help, when ever i try to play minecraft multi-player, i lose connection and it says end of stream. If it helps i play on a beatsaudio windows 8 laptop. And single player wont work since i have no more fun playing by myself.
Is this laptop perhaps as HP Envy? I recently started having a similar issue with end of stream errors, and socket write exceptions. I've looked into it and apparently people with "Atheros" network adapters have had problems in the past, because its sends to much information before the server can process it (IDK how it all works), but I never had the problem until the 1.4.6 update. Try playing and keep track of when it happens, if it happens mainly while mining or placing blocks it may be the atheros problem. Still trying to figure out how to fix it if so.

Alright, so were on common ground, I have an Envy 15 and sspeedtest.net says my connection is great. I'm still looking into how to fix this, and i'll tell you if i find any real permanent solution. In the meanwhile could you check your network adapted just to see if it is the same.
