Hello, I went to play on my Minecraft Singleplayer World today and when I loaded it a chunk was missing, so I logged back out and when I came back everything started running really slowly. So I walked into the village and there are about a hundred villagers walking around(there used to be about twelve). I have no idea where they came from, but I think they were multiplying/glitching whenever they walked. My laptop was really lagging now, and I looked back into the chunk that wasnt loading and I got these screenshots. Minecraft then crashed, and now whenever I log in no chunks load. I looks like I'm in the void. I have lost a world like this before, and I still cannot figure out how to fix it. Please help me!
Sorry for bringing this old topic back up. But is there any fix for this? My singleplayer map has had this problem since this morning. I had this pig pen covered in leaves to keep all the pigs in, in case they glitched out of the fence. But now there is a missing chunk on a corner of the fence.
Well, I was only able to fix it with MCEDIT. I deleted the entities in the area, and then used the chunk tool to rebuild that chunk again. It no longer lags up like it did, and the mobs don't multiply like crazy anymore.
I apologize for posting twice in a row and for bringing up an old topic. Since this was my first hit on Google, I hope that other people that search this will see my answer.
