help! world joining problem

just recently i was joining my creative world and it said generating world then
building terrain and then it stayed like that for a long time. after a few minutes it went back to the
title screen i tried again and the same thing happened. its only been happening on that world. and that was
my favorite creative singleplayer world. help please

i havent got any mods and what do you mean by updating my client?(srry im a noob) i dont remember messing with it.how can you recover it??
