New game, new player. Purchased before this Christmas, Started as single player on a modifed flatland (I think). Got tired of looking for trees. Had to shut 'normal' down, because the cunning and predatory behavior of the mobs was as if a person was bent on destroying me and all I built, switched to peaceful. Cannot find trees anywhere. Is this normal for a flat land? The point I switched from 'normal' to 'peacful' was when I found a skeleton in my kitchen doing a jig and brandishing his (I believe) enchanted diamond bow before me. Then I died. All the animals had dis appeared and the villagers were apparently dead or gone. I have found no saplings.
Another world I am playing, because I got tired of looking for trees, was, I think 'Overworld'?, and it is heavily jungled to the point I cannot see in front of me. All my time is at present clearing enough space ahead to see where I am. No complaint yet. When I started mining to build an oven, I discovered I wasn't collecting any cobblestones. I closed the game, started again, no cobblestones. This seems kind of basic, I didn't see any mention of it in any game description or in searches in 'Curse', so what's up? I looked the forum descriptions over, checked out the vanilla game forum, read the rules, I don't see any basic problems covered except memory lag, which I have with the jungle world (understandable with trees every 2 to 3 blocks) but the memory lag should be a temporary problem until I remove unneccessary files computer files. I think I get the basic idea, but with necromancing skeletons jigging on my 'grave' on single player game, and ambushing me at the spawn site I had to choose from turning psycho killer or ingenu. Sorry if this is rambling.
