Minecraft Forums

My steps:
1. Open the client
2. Read the Tumblr news
3. Hit "login" button
4. Wait....
5. Read "Can't connect to minecraft.net" in red beside teh "Try again" & "Play offline".....

This has been happening the last 2 days. And no, my client is not modded.

I would love some help on fixing this, or at least some info on it. Is it the minecraft servers? or is it me? I have 0 trouble connecting to internet.

I came on the forums to see if anyone had a quick answer or explanation. I could have gone directly to mojang, but why would I do that when there are capable people to help me in this huge community?
