Hi, I'm running 1.4.6 on Ubuntu 12.10. Everything works great, everything sounds good except for the minecarts. When I'm riding a minecart, most of the time all I hear is a popping sound, as if the sound file is only playing the first couple of seconds of the minecart clip. Sometimes, the pace of the popping will increase, and then it will switch to playing the minecart sound correctly. Othertimes, especially if there is rain, the minecart sound will play normally. Is there anything settings I can change to fix this? Like I said earlier, far as I can tell it's only the minecart that has the sound issues.
I'm not sure if all the issues with that was ironed out in 1.4.6 or not. If you haven't done so already you might try updating your LWJGL version which can help with some issues related to sound or input devices.
Hi, sorry for the long delay. I tried your suggestion, and i updated the LWJGL, made no difference that i can tell. Do you know of any total sound replacement mods that I might try? I've not had a chance to look for one myself yet.
