Hi, so I havnt used this minecraft launcher in 4 months, because I got a new computer, but so now, my dad took the computer for buisness and I have to use this current one. Everytime I try to launch Minecraft I click "Open"
then "Run" and nothing comes up. HELP!!!!

Alrighty. Uninstall it and then reinstall it. That typically works.

I have the same problem and even that doesnt help

Run it as a .bat file and it works, but i forget how to do that. I had to do that and it worked.

Okay that could cause problems if they don't know what they are doing and allocate more ram than their system has available. I'm not sure why a bat file would fix this problem anyway.

If minecraft is installed then try going to the .minecraft folder and double click the minecraft.jar file and see if it will launch that way. If the game is not installed then I recommend you download a fresh copy of the launcher from minecraft.net, place it on your desktop and double click it to launch, login and it should start the install. If it won't launch, try right clicking the launcher and tell windows to run it as administrator and see if that helps. Other things to try are to put an exception in your antivirus for minecraft.exe

Are you getting any errors?
try opening up task manager to see in the processes if javaw is running
