Ive been having sound problems since 1.3.2. The sound on my MC doesn't work. I have installed over 10 times and nothing fixes my issue. Sometimes i can hear the dirt block break, chicken noises, and a cave ambient sound every once in a while. I hear no mining nosises, no footsteps, no mobs noises and no music. Yes, i have everything on high and sound is turned on. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum section.

This should probably be in Unmodified Client Support. Anyway, are you reinstalling the .minecraft folder, or your client? You should delete your .minecraft and reopen Minecraft to download.

Sorry, I'm not familar with the forums. Yeah, I deleted the .minecraft and reinstalled from client. Nothing seems to trgger the sound.

Do other programs run sound fine? If not, this would be a problem with your computer.

Yeah, I listen to itunes since MC sound doesn't work. I play Torchlight 2 just fine, League of Legends, Skyrim ect..

Weird, I reinstalled again just now and i got the sounds i have been missing. Footsteps, falling, mining, Animals. I don't know when the music kicks in or if mob sounds are working yet but hopefully they work.

Well, maybe I helped, probably I didn't, but either way, it's good you have your sound working again.
