Hello, We are new to Minecraft. Just downloaded it, tried to dig- nothing. Downloaded again, restarted computer- still not able to dig (tried creative mode and other modes as well). Any ideas how to make this work? Feeling funny having paid this much for a game where I can only walk around....

HI, yes, I am holding down left mouse button and it just does nothing. Sometimes it goes to save game prompt (grey buttons asking if you want to start a new game, options, etc). Thanks!!
We have windows. I did force update, still there is nothing when i try to dig! there is no breaking animation visual. I can't be the only one having this problem and I am hoping it's easy to fix. Thanks!!
