Hey miners!

I am having an interesting issue. My shift key does not seem to be working. It will let me crouch however it wont let me use any of the short cuts that will let me quickly transfer items to my inventory or to take more then 1 item from the crafting table. I have looked online and everybody says just press R shift to fix. or both. nothing seems to be working. I am on 1.4.5 cause I made a server and it doesn't support 1.4.6 (which I also don't know how to fix). Any ideas?

Check the key configuration. It's possible someone changed that. Also possible is that someone added a specialized mod to prevent shift from working, but I doubt it if you're on a server. Check the config file of the server, perhaps. If nothing works, just try re downloading minecraft.

I have attempted to re install minecraft and it didn't work. I made this server so it isn't that. It is doing it on all servers as well.

Can anyone help me with this? I have tried everything You can't really uninstall minecraft. I have tried updating. different keyboards. everything. it is doing it in single player and on servers including my own. plz someone help! I have no idea on wht else to try.

This happened to me, and I fixed it by clicking "no" on the sticky keys options. Tap shift 5 times, and it will take you there. Even if it's not activated, it sometimes glitches and automatically turns it on. (gateway).

Sticky Keys must be doing this, try disabling Sticky Keys in the Control Panel.

If the problem persists, you must update your LWJGL.

I have tried all tht and it hasnt worked. Any other ideas? I am still having the problem

The easiest way I have found to fix this problem is to go to the .minecraft file and delete all but your saves.
