i have seen alot of people with the problem of when you pull up minecraft and log in it will say minecraft is not download. the problem is when you go to download mc from minecraft.net all your downloading is the launcher. not the game itself, first hold down your windows button on your keyboard (or go to start and click run), and type in this: %appdata%
if this is happening after having the game for a long time, backup your game saves, hers how,
after running %appdata% double click your .minecraft folder and right click your saves folder, now minimize everything and right click your desktop and click paste.
now that you have backed up your save games, delete your entire .minecraft folder.
go to minecraft.net and log in, now click play in browser and wait for it to update, when it does close your internet browser.
if you had save games put the folder you backed up back into your .minecraft folder.
now you can run minecraft and if this doesn't work then its something else.
if you had any mods, you will have to install/download them again, same with texture packs.
tell me if it worked and reply if you have any problems.
