When I open up my world to LAN on my mac, PCs can see my world, but when they try to connect, it fails.
When a PC opens up their world, I can't even see their worlds in my list.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who is experiencing this problem.

I'm pretty sure you are, more people would be posting if that was true! it sounds like a network error to me. Make sure you have ":25565" posted at the end of the address. Lemme know if it works!
No, I get a different number.
Let me add to the details, I have a 2008 macbook(Not pro or air).
It doesn't poll all the servers instantly and generally takes a third of a minute to poll them all.
