I'm not sure if i should post this here but... Ok it's like this!

I can play minecraft with up to 20-50 fps no problem (no mods) and it stays that way in the nether but it lags, freezes and hangs! I'm using Fedora 17 if that helps. i've tried using optifine and it made no difference. reducing my settings won't work (i'm on the lowest settings as is) i really don't want to cheat at all! but i really need glowstone and blaze rods!


Theses are my specs:

OS: Fedora 17 Beffy
RAM: 2GBS
GRAPHICS: Nvidia (thats all i know!)
CPUTYPE: HP Pavilion dv2000 widescreen
Resoultion: 1280-800
HDD Size:500GB

It only lags in the nether! It really es me off actually! there's no lag when in the overworld but in the nether BOOM lag heaven! It will freeze up sometimes i can deal with it but i just want to know if there is a sort of fix for it.I'm going to try going to the nether on offline mode! if it fixes it i'll tell you.
