I have Minecraft installed on my iMac and it works just fine. I had it installed when I had Lion (10.7) on my iMac and then upgraded to Mountain Lion (10.8).
However, I have a newer MacBook Air which started with Mountain Lion (10.8) and I never had Minecraft installed on it. Now, I'm trying to install it, so I downloaded the Mac version from minecraft.net and when I first double-clicked on it, I got some kind of java update notice. So I just went ahead and did it. Afterwords, minecraft didn't start up.
So I restarted the machine, tried to run Minecraft again and nothing happens when I double-click on the app. I then went to Java.com and downloaded the latest version of java, installed it, and tried to run Minecraft again, and still nothing happens after double-clicking on the icon.

Not sure what to do now. Can someone help?
Thanks
