either it is me being really stupid or they did change something.
today I upgraded to 1.4.6 and all of a sudden in my singleplayer survival world the chat isnt working anymore.
pressing "T" does nothing, map the function to another key does nothing.
I even tried the "command" function which is "/" and also mapped it to another key...no luck.
thing is, I'm stuck in creative mode because last time I was logged in I was showing my world to a friend in creative mode and now I wanna switch back.
I have cheats ON (always had) but no chance.... what am I doing wrong??
Help really appreciated.

okay problem solved.
since I had chat deactivated in multiplayer settings it seems this also affects chat in singleplayer.

go to multiplayer settings >> chat >> shown
works again!
