Alot of you have been wanting to downgrade. Please visit the thread of MCNostalgia.It is a legal way of downgrading your minecraft client. please be aware that you can only connect to servers of your version.

Their is not other way unless you hold your own backup of the file.

Just a reminder that distribution of any Mojang files is against Mojang Terms Of Use https://minecraft.net/terms

McNostalgia according to their forum page have tried to get permission from Mojang and have not been denied, so this seems to be the only way as of now http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/106402-tool-cyborgs-tools-mcnostalgia-104/
